Accessing ECUAD Courses

As per our collective agreement, “all faculty members can access credit and Continuing Education courses without paying tuition, provided that no fee paying student is displaced” (Article 28).

Accessing Credit Course

All faculty members may access credit courses without paying tuition fees (you do pay mandatory and course material/studio fees), provided that no fee-paying student is displaced. Faculty fully participate in the class (i.e. submitting assignments and receiving marks) and receive a final grade on an ECU transcript, like all students.

If faculty only wish to take one course, apply as an unclassified students by the application deadline.  If faculty wish to pursue a degree (or second degree), apply for regular admission to ECU (portfolio may be required). Please contact the Registrar & Executive Director of Enrolment Kathryn Verkerk (kverkerk@ecuad.ca) for further information.

Accessing Continuing Studies Courses

ECU permanent, temporary and retired employees may register for a CS course up to one business day before the course start date without tuition payment, as long as minimum enrolment for the course has been achieved and seats are available. Admission priority in CS courses will be given to full-fee paying students.

To ensure CS can respond promptly to your registration request, please submit this online registration form as early as possible and contact CS Staff two business days before the course start date to confirm you are still interested in attending the selected course. If seats are available, you will be registered one business day before the course start date.
